A finger of fudge. Is it just enough to give you a treat? We think not. We think that many fudgy fingers make a delicious confection and we have the ingredients to make the night a fudeging fantastic occasion in no particular order:
KATHY HULME - Kathy Hulme, half of screwball folk duo The C Siders reads her less 'singable' work. Melancholic, acerbic and a little disturbing. Kathy has been in a few bands over the years mainly the Honkies, Smartbombs and occasionally the Orchestre Murphy but that was ages ago.
ROSHI FEATURING PARS RADIO - Our favourite ethereal Iranian Welsh singer and artist returns to beguile the scaledown audience with songs of pure beauty.
BOB CONSTANT - He’s got a handful of songs to sing you, usually something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue….. and always slightly bruised. Feel the pain, feel the love…. feel the need…..open your arms wide for Mr Bob Constant.
STEPHEN EvEns - Stephen EvEns (aka Stephen Gilchrist) has mis-spent the good years gifted him by touring the world as an auxiliary cog in the machinery of major “indie-stardom”. Now, arming himself with a battered guitar and a Casiotone, he decided to channel all his bitterness & resentment into songs rather than bottling it up. The result is the album Bonjour Poulet available on Onomatopoiea Records and aired to the scaledown audience!.
BEECHING'S AXE - Guitars shunt and whirring tapes evoke a golden age of travel … let Beeching’s Axe take you back to more innocent times….. chop, chop, don’t be late. Sorry, no drinks trolley
BONESETTER REES - Digging the trench of poetical melodic protest acoustic post punk, Mr. Bonesetter returns with new and exciting material. We hope he will become a scaledown regular!
As ever, it is FREE! Come and hear/see the scaled down performances. DOORS OPEN AT 7.30 PM of the clock for an 8pm start. FIFTEEN MINUTES PER ACT! Come along to:
